WRGPT: oldbloke is eliminated!
Well there you are then - 16th. Probably could have held on a bit longer, but you know.
After raising with suited king a couple of hands back, getting one caller, missing the flop and being out of position and so giving up when he bet, my stack was a bit smaller... Bigger than some, but I felt it was time to win something or die. So when I got K/Q I decided to push.
Mr Bigstack called with an A/J and hit another A on the flop, I didn't improve, thankyou and goodnight.
Now I need to find out how much the prize money would've been if this was the real 2008 WSOP Main Event.
$334,534 ($10,000 entry fee to take off that...)

WRGPT - A moment of madness, saved by ballsy play on the turn
Table h1, Hand 280, Day 212
Ante is 10k, blinds 30k and 60k
I have a little under 900k, the table average being around 750k
I'm dealt A/4, and even though I'm under the gun, I go mad at the sight of the first ace I've seen for about a month and raise it another 90k
Obviously, this was stupid.
Only 1 guy calls, though. But he'll have position on me.
470k in the pot, and the flop comes K3K, none in either of my suits.
I check, preparing to fold and lose the money, but he checks behind.
Hmmmmmmm, wonder what he has?
The turn brings a 4, pairing me up, but a terribly low pair.
But, you know, he didn't bet...
And... What will he be thinking about what I have?
So I bet 250k
And he folds!!!!
I net 310k
Chip leader at this table, 4th overall. 1st and 2nd are way ahead but 3rd is still in sight.

WRGPT - got away with totally misplaying one
I was dealt Ah 6h in late position
Error 1: I made a too-small raise
I got a caller who checked the Q87 flop.
Error 2: It had 2 hearts and I ought to have semi-bluffed but didn't
We checked it down to the river, and I missed everything, and couldn't bring myself to bluff when he checked that too. That may or may not be an error. A bet there might have been for value rather than pure bluff.
But he had Kx and missed it all too, so I made a few $ again and kept my 3rd place.
51 left now.

In the club
The bowls club.
Went up to the bowling green with J after school.
There was nobody there but the greenkeeper who'd just finished mowing and was about to leave.
He didn't recognise me and asked if I was a member, and I had to admit I hadn't actually given Marion or Karen the actual money yet... But on hearing their names he was reassured.
Turns out Jack can't really hold the bowls, they're simply too big for his hands, so after a bit of messing trying to find a grip that'd work about he just watched me, occasionally being a helpful crane to lift the bowls to my hand, or a pet pterodactyl, or I'd have to bowl through his legs to make him dance. Even without these distractions I was a bit rubbish, though I did land a bowl dead on the jack 3 or 4 times (in about 40 ends).
At one point a fairly old and rather deaf chap turned up to inspect the fixtures list, so I asked him about Monday's match. They went all the way up to Keighley to lose 10-0. Hmmm.
They're at home next Monday, I think I'll go up and find somebody to pay my membership fee to.
If it's not raining.

Another guy on my table just went with pocket deuces but ran into pocket aces, on a KKKxx board.
He's down to 50k, and is on the big blind next hand (if he doesn't gamble now). The guy who had the aces is now ranked #1 (bumping me down to 3rd)
