15 in the USA now, 2 in Canada, 1 in Costa Rica. They still say 85 for Mexico but it's surely an underestimate.
It may be only as severe as seasonal flu, but it's apparently rather more transmissable

They're estimating 1 in 5 worldwide will get it, though of course few will require hospitalisation and very few will die.
But do you really have a worse than 1 in 5 chance of being hit by a car within the next 12 nmonths?

I've no idea to be honest, but I see no point in worrying about it any more than I can see the point in worrying about the flu to the extent that the media seem to be.

The point is that you can do things now that dramatically lessen your risk of dying of flu in the next 12 months. Not so for car accidents. Well, maybe you could move somewhere less populated, but that would count for both ;-)
