Remember I posted about that company that failed to send some goods then failed to give me a refund?
They disappeared from the web the very day I posted the "there's a problem" forms back to Barclaycard.
Figured it was byebye to my money, but a couple of weeks later Barclaycard wrote to say they'd refunded my money. I think they refunded everybody - or as many people as they could - to avoid being barred from opening up another company. This lot have form in that area...

ANYWAY - the main item I'd ordered I now have from elsewhere, and this is what it is, and it's BRILLIANT:

(it puts crown caps onto bottles)

DH has one of those, though I think his is less heavy-duty. Turns out that if you transfer half a bottle of wine into a beer bottle and cap it that way you can keep it long term, which is a good step forward from Vacuvining leftover wine.

Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with the concept of "leftover wine"

It's like leftover cheese or chocolate.

I'm just trying to remember if they ever sold milk in bottles with crown caps. When we had the stuff delivered in the mid-80s the bottles always had foil caps.

I've seen milk with crown caps, or what looked like crown caps.
I think it was steri rather than pasteurised.

Yes, this. I was brought up on sterilised milk from the milkman and it needed a proper bottle opener to open it.
