WRGPT - I have not the words
Dealt Ad Ts in seat 6, with the ante now at 6k and the blinds at 20k and 40k, I raise it another 60k.
The guy behind me goes all-in for another 210550.
Everybody else folds.

I'll still have half a mill left, and he may not be that strong given his stack size vs the ante/blind level, so I call.

He has 55 and doesn't improve, whereas the flop pairs my A.

39 left in.

I have suited middle connectors now, think I'll just keep out of trouble though

Good or Lucky? I'm never really sure with poker.

Gary Player (golf, but hey) once said "The more I practice the luckier I get". Or something very close to that.

Yeh, at every point the cards have to fall your way. It's choosing to stick your money in when the probabilities favour you that's the trick. And it often requires a judgement of what your opponent may have, though in some versions at some levels you can just 'play the numbers' and come out ahead.

I don't deny I've had a great run of luck this year. But also, I think I've chosen correctly just when to roll those CrAzY dIcE.

A few days ago I managed to take someone out and at the same time double up off someone else, by being dealt AQs and pairing the A, but now the blinds have gone up I still only have M=3.

I've just been shuffled on to a different table, which is slightly irritating (only a few days before live redraws for this round finish) as I've been trying to build up a reputation for being ultra-tight. No idea whether that works in this game. [I notice your table got Fluffy Pureheart, which means it'll slow right down now.] As a result I've been nervous enough to ditch an A/J because someone came in ahead of me with 200K. I would have called if I'd had your stack, though. :-)

Someone else called, so I'll see soon enough whether I was right to dump or sick as a parrot.

I was up against A/Q and AT and the latter made a four-flush on the flop.

But neither of them improved and there was a J on the board so I'd have lucked out.

The number of winning straights I'd have backed into if only I hadn't folded in today's freeroll beggars belief. But I came 2nd anyway, for $7.50. Got lucky every time I was forced all-in by the blinds (and once by just the ante!)
