FOTA and the FIA have reached an agreement.
Max will not seek re-election.
No other detail yet, except that it looks like the cost-reduction will be introduced more slowly.

Not really, actually: the way the FIA is structured, if the incumbent chooses to stand, he gets it. So what happens is various relevant people tell him beforehand whether or not he can get away with it. And this time he can't.

How can this cost cap possibly work? 'I bought it from my mate for a fiver, here's the receipt'. Winner is the one with the most creative accountants.

Max had a system worked out for his proposed 40mill cap, and a scary amount of stuff wasn't included in that cap even then. I guess they think they can audit well enough... Does seem open to a degree of 'creativity' though!
