We went to the Discworld Con
We'd considered going down to see L's parents the day before, but L's dad didn't seem that bad and L's mum fancied some time on her own. Ah well: if only we could see the future.
The Con was good, met old friends and new (mostly old for L).
J swam 20 metres for the first time, only dogpaddle but he did it (and was much better than in the past in his lesson in the local pool on Tuesday).
Must actually learn to play my guitar before the next DWCon, so Gid doesn't embarrass me too much when he tries to get me to join the jam.
Had a bit of a chat with games retailer so have some idea what to expect if I push my Cripple-Mr-Onion-reinvented idea.
pTerry is obviously starting to fade but still 99% there.
Saw Lionel Fanshawe, something of a medium hero of mine.
Saw Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, might try to catch his gig at the Lass O'Gowrie, he's good fun.
Discovered that M62/M1/A42/M42 is a much better way to/from the NEC than M62/M6/M42
While I can do everything necessary to keep things running here while L is away helping her mum sort the funeral (etc), I miss her desperately.
