The plan for January was to split a pack of yeast across 2 demijohns, one of which would be coffee (with a hint of vanilla) and the other all the various soft fruits left in the freezer.

So today I tried to work out a compromise flavour extraction method from those normally published for raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, and blackcurrants.

And then I went and weighed all the fruit.

Enough for 3 gallons.

Right, forget the coffee wine: a bit experimental anyhow.

3g of mixed? 1 rassy and 2 mixed? 2 rassy and 1 mixed?
What'll fit in which vessels?
How will the yeast like being split 3 ways? Etc etc etc

L's just eased the problem slightly by claiming some rassies for jam, so now we're looking at 2 gallons again. I think I'll do one rassy and one mixed. Or maybe I should do 2 mixed.

Oh, I don't know. Let's have a vote!
[NB. On their own there's only a quarter gallon each worth of strawbs, brambles, and blackcurrants; all the rest is rassy]
[NB2. We still have several bottles of rassy in the rack - it's not bad, but not (yet) wonderful]

Poll #1812461 Dilemma

What to brew?

2 mixed
1 rassy and 1 mixed

Ahem. Quarter galon of each of the non-raspberries, not half.

Although I bet raspberry + strawberry is very different from raspberry + blackcurrant...

If it's 1 mix, 1 rass, the mix will be equal weights rass, bramble, strawb, and blackcurrant.
If it's 2 mixed, it'll be 5:1:1:1 r:bb:S:bc
Unless I want to try dicking about with the ratios... Could be interesting...
