People sometimes suggest that the karate must keep me fit, and I say, well no not really coz I only go once a week and that's not enough for actual fitness.
And then we missed a session last week (snow on the hill) and now after today's session I ACHE ALL OVER (well, in many places)
So I guess it must have been doing something after all

I've certainly noticed not going last Thursday. I need to remember to keep stretching and moving to keep from stiffening up too much.

You might be right - I notice when I miss a week's tai chi class.

The warm-up for the karate sessions I did a few years back nearly killed me. I'm a bit fitter now but the karate classes vanished :(

The warm-up's OK, but after it, that day we did the entire set of exercises for our grading 4 times without a break. Some of them more.
